While normally UD Summer Scholars are on campus for the summer, this year students did their research projects remotely from home. Nick Gonella's project with Dr. Jay Custer is on developing background information on 17th and early 18th century historic ceramics from the central Delmarva Peninsula. Emerson Page, who is also working with Dr. Custer, is researching the appropriation of Native American material culture in the American Arts and Crafts Movement of the early 20th Century. Check out the virtual Summer Scholars Symposium on Thursday, August 13th, to hear more about theirs and other disciplines' projects. UD Summer Scholars Program
